News > Train service on Red Line disrupted

Posted on 10/23/2011

Red Line service between Harvard and Broadway stations was interrupted for about two hours last night due to loose manhole cover and a related power outage at Park Street Station, according to MBTA officials. The cover was lodged between a northbound Red Line train and the rail at about 6 p.m. at Park Street, creating some smoke and affecting power in that section, officials said. Shuttle buses transported passengers between stations.
